Help your Reception child build confidence with number order through an active, hands-on hunt.

Number Line Hunt is a fun searching activity that encourages children to find hidden numbers and arrange them in the correct order to create their own number line. As they search, sort and sequence the numbers, they'll practise recognising numbers, understanding number order and counting forwards and backwards, while exploring which numbers come before and after others.

Simple to set up and easy to adapt, you'll receive a parent-friendly guide with clear instructions, practical learning tips and ideas to extend the play as your child's confidence grows. The activity is designed to be flexible. Simply write numbers onto sticky notes or small pieces of paper, hide them around the room and use a table, floor or piece of paper to build the number line together.
