Help your Reception child understand how numbers can be split into parts through playful, hands-on maths.

Monster Bonds makes number bonds visual and meaningful. Your child gives their monster a chosen number of googly eyes, then separates the eyes into two groups to discover different ways of making the same whole. Moving the eyes themselves helps children see that although the two parts can change, the whole stays the same — building strong foundations for addition and subtraction.

Simple to set up and easy to adapt, you'll receive a parent-friendly guide with clear instructions, practical learning tips and ideas to extend the play as your child's confidence grows. You'll also receive the colourful Monster Bonds printable mats and number-bond sheets, with activities for bonds to 5 and 10 as well as a blank version to adapt to your child.
