Help your Year 1 child practise measuring in centimetres through playful playdough challenges.
Build-a-Worm gives children a target length, then asks them to roll a playdough worm they think will match it. Your child measures the worm with a ruler, decides whether it is too long or too short and adjusts it until it is just right. This turns measuring into a process of estimating, checking and improving.
Simple to set up and easy to adapt, you'll receive a parent-friendly guide with clear instructions, practical learning tips and ideas to extend the play as your child's confidence grows. Start with short target lengths, then compare several worms, order them by length or challenge your child to make one that fits between two others.
